Most Of The Current Head Units Will Accept MP3, MP4,And WMA, There Are Some That Will Accept Other File Types But They All Accept These. You Can Put Alot Of Music On Thumb Drives But Remember The Bigger It Is The Longer It Will Take To Read Upon Turning On The Head Unit. I Have A 250 Gig External Plugged Into Mine And I Love It.
